Coastal Regional Commission (CRC)

Developing, promoting, and providing comprehensive planning and development services that seek to make Georgia and its many local communities better places to live and work. The Coastal Regional Commission will demonstrate professional and forward-thinking leadership to ensure sustainable growth and competitive advantage by balancing environmental responsibility, economic growth, and social needs.

We identify value, develop policies, and execute plans. The CRC is dedicated to unifying the region's collective resources to prepare the area for a prosperous future. It does so through professional planning initiatives, the provision of objective information, and community involvement in collaborative partnerships.

Please take part in this short public survey for comments on the Comprehensive Plan update:

The Coastal Regional Commission (CRC) is working with McIntosh County and The City of Darien on the Joint McIntosh/Darien Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is a state-mandated document, and five-year updates are required by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. The CRC is seeking public participation in shaping the future of the community through public listening sessions. Three public listening sessions are scheduled where staff from the Coastal Regional Commission will be available to review the draft plan, solicit feedback, and answer any question or concern you may have about this process.

We invite you to participate:

  • November 12th from 10:00am -1:00pm a table will be set up at Downtown Darien during The Second Saturday Event
  •  November 15th from 3:30-5:30pm Sweet Tee’s Log Cabin Restaurant, 12974 US 251, Darien, Georgia
