Early Voting Information and Dates

For the November 7, 2023 City of Darien Election and The renewal of the Special  1% Educational SPLOST Election for County wide.

August 21, 2023 – is the earliest day to request an absentee ballot for the November Municipal General & Special Election.  O.C.G.A.21-2-384(a)(2)

October 10, 2023 – Is the last day to register to vote or change of address for the November 7, 2023 General & Special Election. O.C.G.A.21-2-224, 21-2-501.

October 16, 2023 – is the earliest for a Registrar to mail an absentee ballot. O.C.G.A. 21-2-384(a)(2)

October 16, 2023 – is the first day of Advanced (in-person) Voting begins for the November 7, 2023 for the Municipal General/Special Elections. O.C.G.A.21-2-385(d)(1).  Hours are from 8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday. McIntosh County Election office is located at 103 Jefferson St., Darien, Ga.

October 21, 2023 & October 28, 2023 are our Mandatory Saturday Voting for the November 7, 2023 Municipal General & Special Election.  O.C.G.A.21-2-385(d)(1).  Hours are 9am to 5pm.

October 27, 2023 - is the last day to request an absentee ballot for the November 7, 2023 Election. O.C.G.A. 21-2-381(a)(1)(A)

November 3, 2023 – Is the last day for Advance (in-person) Voting.

November 7, 2023 – Election Day for the November Municipal General Election and the Special Splost Elections.  All polls are open at 7am to 7pm.

POLL LOCATIONS:

The City of Darien Voting Precinct and District 1 is at The Darien Fire Station located at 700 Northway St., Darien Georgia.

District 2 Voting Precinct is located at The Darien Church of God Gym,1140 Blounts Crossing Road SE, Darien Georgia. 

District 3 Voting Precinct is located at the Crescent Fire Station, 1127 Old Trail Rd. NE, Townsend Georgia. Also district 3 is on Sapelo Island located at the Sapelo Senior Center, Sapelo Island.

District 4 Voting Precinct is located at the Shellman Bluff Fire Station,6572 Shellman Bluff Road NE, Townsend Georgia.
